Q.6.1

On the internet, socialization refers to the ways that people communicate and the methods they use to do so. Socialization describes the customs, quirks and language unique to a particular culture. The Internet, while involving millions of people from countless different countries and backgrounds, has developed some cultural quirks all on its own. Social media tools can help create a more dynamic community of practice and provide an ongoing and searchable conversation to benefit others. To successfully introduce social media into a community of practice with an organization, there are several factors that need to be addressed and questions to be asked.

Q.6.2

Ethics include moral choices made by individuals in relation to the rest of the community, standards of acceptable behaviour, and rules governing members of a profession. The under-mentioned ethical issues are what we need to be aware of when we look at our actions and how they can impact on society at large. These ethical issues are far-reaching, involving aspects such as:
·         Copyright access and infringement
·         Freedoms and accountability
·         Privacy and security
·         Cultural perceptions and values

·         Cross cultural communication

Question 4 Digital Etiquette Digital Etiquette -  is defined as “the standards of conduct expected by other digital technology users” (Ribble & Bailey, 2007). In other words, Digital conduct refers to how people should behave when using the internet. It is expected that users behave in an appropriate and responsible way when using technology and it is important to teach those who do not have digital etiquette how to behave in an ethical manner. Inappropriate conduct would include; sexual harassment, cyber bullying, verbal abuse, fraud, child pornography, racism etc. Inappropriate conduct has a profound effect on society as it is easier for people to behave inappropriately over the internet where they can remain anonymous. Cyberbullying causes psychological, emotional and physical stress which has led to many suicides which has impacted negatively on society.
